Show UTAH PIONEER CAUfDBY DEATH Oscar I. Randall Died September 5th in Mira Loma, California. Oscar I. Randall, a well known resident of Washington county, who- for several years has made his home at Central, died Saturday, Sat-urday, September 5, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nettie Net-tie Wilcox, at Mira Loma, California, Cali-fornia, according to advices received re-ceived by relatives here. He was taken ill with a stroke Thursday morning. It had been three weeks to the day of his burial that he and his wife had ! left Central to spend the winter with his daughter and son, Jas. R. Randall. Mr. Randall was a veteran of the Black Hawk Indian war. He was born in England on June 15, 1S54, and came to Utah with his mother when he was a child of two years. She was a member of one of the L. D. S. handcart companies. On January IS, IS S3, he was married to Miss Annie Clark Reid of Salt Lake City in the endowment house. Eight children were born to them, four of whom are living. Mr. Randall is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Carpenter and Clara R. Bracken, Central; Mrs. Nettie Wilcox, Mira Loma, and a son, James R. Randall, of Bridgeport, Calif., a half-sister, Mrs. Annie Carpenter, St. George, and four j half-brothers, John and Joseph I of Provo. Henry of Enterprise. I and Brigham of St. George, j Funeral services were held on ! Wednesday in the L. D. S. chapel jat Ontario, under the direction I of W. C. Clayton, branch presi-! presi-! dent, and interment was in the Inglewood park cemetery. I All of his immediate family and his half-sister were present at the services. |
