Show LOCALS DEFEAT VEGAS IN THRILLING GAME Nevada Yrtrritns Outliit anil Outplayed in Contest Hero Sunday. The St. George men's baseball base-ball team surprised their most ardent supporters, and the members mem-bers of the team themselves, Sunday, when they outplayed and outliit the veteran Las Vegas Merchants here, defeating them 5 to 4. Kd Lund, who graduated from tlio juniors this year, started for St. George and for six innings had things all his own way, allowing the visitors only five scattered hits, one run, and struck out seven. He was relieved by Loraine Cox, who couldn't get going, but who made up for it by brilliant work in the Held and heavy hitting. hit-ting.
