Show Administrator named at Stewart's nursing home It was announced this week that a seasoned nursing home and hospital administrator ad-ministrator will begin work immediately immediate-ly as the new director of Stewart's Convalescent Con-valescent Villa in Roosevelt. Mr. Lawrence A. (Larry) Smith, a native of Worland, Wyoming, was selected for the position from a field of over 20 applications, according to Bonneville Bon-neville Health Systems of Salt Lake City, Ci-ty, who purchased the center August 1, 1982 from Verlynn and Donna Stewart. Mr. Smith is a retired military officer whose career spanned World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam era. As a Combat Defense Squadron Commander and Air Force OSI (Security) agent, his duty assignments took him to the Far East and European theatres of action as well as various positions within the United States. Since his retirement from the Air Force he has distinguished himself by completing a degree in economics and business management at the University of Nebraska. Upon graduation he entered the health care field by serving an internship at the Lutheran Hospital and Home Society in Fargo, N.D. After completion he was employed by that corporation cor-poration as well as the Bethesda Found-nation Found-nation of Omaha and has had a decade of service in Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming working in the administration, development and operation of nursing homes and hospitals. Mr. Smith and his wife, the former Lenna Lang of St. George, have four adult children and eight grandchildren. They are members of the LDS Church and have moved to Roosevelt from Evanston, Wyo. "We intend to make Roosevelt our home," stated Mrs. Smith. "We have already become acquainted with many people and hope to become a contributing part of the community," |
