Wciscich B-cassSe wans derby race Wasatch Lassie, owned by Jay Giles and ridden by Garcia, captured first place in the quarterhorse derby finals, Friday at the Petroleum Downs Race meet in Roosevelt with a time of 20.45 and Olenes Oscar, owned by Robert Williams and ridden by Anderson, placed second. Mae's Sunshine, owned own-ed by Phil Brotherson and Jim Nebeker and ridden by Sadler, nabbed nabb-ed third. Kan Do Grande, owned by Jean Limb and ridden by Spencer, snared top honors in the quarterhorse derby consolation race with a time of 20.61 and Gamen Brave, owned by Charles Scott and ridden by Feragen, netted second. Deck The Town, owned by Gary Lamb and ridden by Anderson, placed third. First place in the Ocalla Chic Bam appalossa finals was won by Southern Chic, owned by Don Karth and ridden by Feragen, with a time of 18.11. Blue Bazer, owned by Dick Kier and ridden by Adams, captured top honors in the three year old and up non winners win-ners in this meet race with a time of 18.43 and Moneymaker Reb, owned by R.S.T. quarterhorses and ridden by Spencer, placed second. Giddy Comet, Com-et, owned by Brad Jensen and ridden by Jensen, nabbed third. Bar J Grand Key, owned by Gary Goodrich and ridden by Sadler, captured cap-tured second place.
