Show 3 board members vaf:e o&vhov office Three Uintah School District Board nembers were sworn in and board officers of-ficers were elected Thursday night during dur-ing the board's first meeting of the year. New board members are Thomas Howells, precinct number 2, and Verlin Vincent, precinct number 1. Vincent replaced Elouise Turner, and Howells replaced Dr. Ed Oscarson. Also sworn in to a second term was Garth Atwood, precinct number 3. Atwood ran unoppos- . ed last November and was appointed to serve on the board when John Millecam, former board president, resigned. Gary Taylor was elected president of the school board and D. Blayne Morrill was elected vice president. Committee assignments by the new board president are Morrill and Taylor - to be over the district's interests in Union High School, and the vocational board, Garth Atwood was assigned to serve on the Community Impact Board, Howells was assigned to the three-county health board, and Verlin Vincent was assigned to the Recreation Committee.
