Show Stanley Nebeker dies at 79 Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Standly Nebeker, 79, died April 25, 1983 in Stewarts Convalescent Villa in Roosevelt. Born Dec. 1, 1903, Randolph, Utah, to Alfred Woodcock and Elizabeth Snowball Nebeker. Married Mabel Johnson September 9, 1929 in Duchesne, Utah. At the age of seven years his family moved from Randolph to Evanston, Wyoming where he lived for a year, and then lived liv-ed in Lyman, Wyo. for a year. Then moved mov-ed to Lapoint, but homesteaded in the Ouray Valley. When married, they moved mov-ed to the homestead and lived there until un-til 1975 when he and Mabel moved to Roosevelt. He was a mail carrier for 33 years. He was a merchant in Ouray, Myton, Fort Duchesne and Randlett during dur-ing his lifetime. He was a rancher; herded herd-ed sheep for five summers, and also worked in the coal mines during those winters. Survivors are his wife, Roosevelt; sons, Claude S., of Whiterocks, Utah; Alfred Lynn, of Ogden; James Dale, of Roosevelt; Clark Ray, of Seattle, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother John C. Nebeker, of Salt Lake City. Preceded in in death by four brothers and three sisters, Mert, Ray, Rauleight, Eugene, Nellie Lindsay, Luella Brough and Mary Pearl. Funeral services were Thursday in the Roosevelt Fourth LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Roosevelt Memorial Park. |
