The display is sponsored by the Dinosaur Na- Rock art, slide show on display An exhibit of photographs, "Shaman's Sons: Rock Art of Western America," is currently on display at the Uintah County Library. Sponsored jointly by Dinosaur National Na-tional Monument and the Uintah County Coun-ty Library, the exhibit will be in Vernal Ver-nal from May 4 to May 20. The twenty color photographs show examples of rock art from California, Texas, New Mexico, Washington and Utah. According to Dinosaur Superintendent Superinten-dent Joe Kennedy and Librarian Evan Baker, the exhibit may be viewed during dur-ing library hours, Monday through Thursday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In conjucntion with the exhibit, the Dinosaur National Monument is sponsoring spon-soring a slide presentation "Mystery on the Rock". Focusing on local petroglyph and pictographs, it will be at the library Monday, May 9, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Both the National Park Service and the Uintah Conty Library cordially invites in-vites the public to attend the slide show and photographic exhibit. tional Monument and the Uintah County Library. |
