Bod Hamson put in a free throw for an 8-5 lead and Maeser 3rd missed four tries at the basket on a field goal attempt. Vernal Ver-nal 6th didn't miss as Saupe scored to give his team a 10-5 lead. Slade popped in two free throws to make the score 10 to 7 in favor of Vernal 6th after one quarter of action.
