Show Uintah Search and Rescue locates three stranded men The Uintah County Search and Rescue Patrol was activated early Monday morning mor-ning to look for three men who failed to return from a day expedition to the , Bookcliff Mountains on Sunday. The three men, Alden Bassett, Rick Bassett and George Karen left at daylight Sunday to spend the day in the Wolf Den area of the Bookcliffs gathering gather-ing wood. In the afternoon, the truck they i were in became stuck in the mud and snow. The men were unable to get the truck out. When they failed to return Sunday evening, authorities were notified, and the Search and Rescue Patrol left before daylight Monday to begin the search.
