Show Lapoint Arda Mansfield 247-2375 J Lees spend time with daughter Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Lee and two boys Shawn and Verlan went to Lehi this past weekend to be with their daughter Utahana for her birthday. Utahana is spending some time at American Fork in the seizure clinic. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hartle, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Moore, and Mrs. Pamela Searle of Vernal spent their vacation in Mountain Burg, Ark., visiting Dixie's grandfather who is 82 years old. The grandfather had never seen any of the great grandchildren. F'rom there the Glen Hartle family went to Hannibal, Mo. where they enjoyed en-joyed visiting Mark Twain's Cave. They took a ride down the Mississippi River on Mark Twain's ferry boat and enjoyed other sites of interest. They visited historic church sites in Independence, In-dependence, Mo., also Carthage and Nauvoo, 111. From these points of interest they went to Madison, Wis. to visit a family that Glen Hartle had baptized while he was on his mission 14 years ago. Motoring to Salt Lake City Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Kay Winn, Thelma Winn and Boyd Winn of Roosevelt. Boyd's wife Marie had been flown to Salt Lake City to the LDS Hospital where she had surgery for a ruptured appendix. Marie is doing well and they think she will be able to come home at the end of the week. James Esplin was flown to Salt Lake City by Life Flight Saturday night to the LDS Hospital. He was very seriously ill with pneumonia and asthma. It was reported Sunday night that he was much better, but it would be a while before he could come home. Mrs. Esplin and Vermon drove out early Sunday morning. This past week a semi-load of grass sod was put on the Lapoint Cemetery. They have planted evergreens, quaken asps, and shrubs. It has been through the combined efforts of all the Huber families and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Long, Delia Nyberg, Gene Nyberg and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Workman. Also Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Angus has had sod brought in. If you're traveling from Vernal to Lapoint, it would be interesting to stop by and see what has transpired at our cemetery this year. Plans are being made for much further development. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Filligim of Florida is visiting in Lapoint staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Walker.
