Show C Manila Clara Robinson Phone 784-3463 Manila High School announces honor roll Manila High School has announced the honor roll for the second term of the 1980-81 school year as follows: Natalie Radosevich, Rhonda Sandquist, Tammy Raveling, Judy Reed, Susie Cook, Michelle Steinaker, Alan Friedman, Starla Despain, Debbie Sikich, Christy Triplett, Kristee Briggs, Randal Despain, Michelle Charette, Blake Ford, Paul Lamb, Todd Potter, Steve Bean, Matthew Briggs, Lisa Briggs, Mike Radosevich, Celeste Skabelund and Melanie Wilde. There was an error on the police report last week. In the last item listed it said the Sheriff's department had bought a doberman pinscher. This dog was purchased by the Sheriff and not the department. Guest speaker for the Daggett County Senior Citizen's dinner Wednesday noon was George Roth of Roosevelt. Mr. Roth is with the Uintah Basin Association of Governments and was formerly the director of the Aging program for the Uintah Basin area. He was director when the program started in Daggett County and has been a great help to the local program. Wednesday evening the Senior Citizens held a social. Guest speaker was Daggett County Commissioner LaRay Sadlier. He was accompanied by Mrs. Sadlier who won the door prize. The evening was spent just visiting and enjoying refreshments. Manila LDS Ward held a planned pot luck smorgasbord, at the Manila recreation hall Friday Jan. 30. Following the dinner Agnes Briggs was master of ceremonies for a program. Besides Mrs. Briggs and her family, those participating in the program which included readings, songs, and instrumentals were Leeann Redden, Louise Neff and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Stewart. An inch of snow Saturday brought .09 of an inch of moisture to Manila. This brings the total amount for the month of January to .12. There is more snow on the mountains though. There was a trace in the valley Friday morning, but on the mountain there was 6 inches and the school bus didn't run as it was still snowing. It put down 10 inches up there before stopping. The boys were unable to make the scheduled basketball trip to Altamont. Mrs. Robert Gerber of Logan is visiting her daugher and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. James Briggs and family. This is the first time Mrs. Gerber has been in Manila since last June just before going on her trip to the Holy Land. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Ellsworth and Mrs. George Ellsworth were in Salt Lake City the latter part of the week on business and for medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. William Robinson attended at-tended the meeting of the Flaming Gorge Natural History Association held in the conference room of the Forest Service building in Dutch John, Thursday.Jan. 29. Visiting at the William Robinson home Sunday forenoon were Mr. and Mrs. Art Robinson and children of Rock Springs, Wyo. |
