Show By Teresa Smith Lori Greenhow, a senior at Uintah, has been chosen as student of the month for February. She is the daughter of Bert and Lela Greenhow. Each month, the faculty members nominate the students who win this award, and Lori has been nominated every month by at least one teacher. She is one of those quiet students who simply comes every day and does a super job. She is always pleasant, on time, and courteous. Lori maintains a 3.4 GPA and has taken many of her classes in the business and science areas. Her academic work has earned her a place on the honor roll. Lori is very active in school this year. She is a member of the Science Club and serves as their secretary. She is a member of the school newspaper staff and has helped get the program going this year. She is a member of FBLA and is also secretary for that organization. She is active in the speech and debate program and specializes in individual events like extemporaneous speaking. She serves as studentbody , historian, which is one of two offices which faculty members and elected officers select the students. At present, Lori works for Dr. Richard Jolley as a dental assistant, which has created an interest for her. She is planning on going on to Weber State College when she finishes high school and getting her degree in dental hygiene. Lori rarely has any spare time, she is always volunteering to help with different dif-ferent programs in the community and school. When she does have extra time, however, she enjoys needlework and , crocheting. |
