Show ( Voice of ?0 Experience, W&J Starting this Thursday, Feb. 5, the meals at the Golden Age Center will be fixing salt free meals for those of you who cannot have salt in your meals. Please contact Joan Janes at 789-2169 so that she will know how many salt free diets to prepare. Thursday's dinner had one of the largest crowds ever who enjoyed the delicious food and socialization with others. On the menu for Feb. 5 is turkey casserole with cranberries, yams, potatoes and gravy, corn, jello and tossed salads, rolls and peach Bavarian pie. Friday, Jan. 30 a fair crowd attended the dance. Happy birthday was sung to dancers Melba S. Woodhouse, Ted Wilckens and Lyla Bennion. Our apologies go to Tony Woodhouse as his name was omitted from last week's story as one of the participants on the Powell wedding program. A bus will be taken to Roosevelt next Saturday night to the dance. Fourteen dancers can go. Anyone wanting to go can sign up Friday at the dance. Don't forget to mark your calendar for March 6 for the wedding anniversary dance of Glenn and Dode Stephenson. See you all Friday. Lois Rasmussen performed on the program at Monday's roast beef dinner. din-ner. 150 Senior Citizens enjoyed the comical readings that Lois prepared. Be sure to come Monday, Feb. 9 for meatloaf, baked potatoes with sour cream, macaroni and tomatoes, harvard har-vard beets, jello and tossed green salads, rolls and strawberry Bavarian pie. A Social Security Representative will be at Job Service this month on the 18th starting at 12:30 p.m. so if you have any questions about your social security, go to Job Service Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 12:30 p.m. There will be a Blood Pressure Clinic at the Golden Age Center Feb. 23 starting at 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Bingo winner for the month of January was Alice Mott having 13 games. Second place for the month was Lena Mast and Meg Goodrun both having 12 games each. Winner for the week of Jan. 27 was also a tie between Meg Goodrun and Alice Mott, each having five games. Second was Lena Mast, Lillian Westwood, Phyllis Warby and Edith Gale all having three games each. Happy birthday goes this week to George McConkie and Lula Chew, Feb. 5; Millie Kaye Haws and Maude Thacker, Feb. 10. Happy birthday also to anyone we may have missed on our birthday calendar. Also thank you to Millie Haws for letting us put her birthday birth-day down on our calendar. Have a nice day and a very nice week! |
