Show r 1 Naples Jo Openshaw Phone 789-3157 Arven Billings have SLC visitors Sharon and Lila Meacham, Pearl Meacham, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Meacham and children all of Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with the Arven Billings and attended the blessing of their baby son. Also attending at-tending the blessing were Dezzie and Eldon Billings, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mangrum and children, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cla bough, Robert and Elouise Turner and Vivian Turner. They all attended a family dinner at the Arven Billings home Sunday afternoon. Arnold and Vena Baker and daughter Kay and son Brett went to Salt Lake City last week and set up the Uintah1 County 4-H exhibits at the State Fair. While away they visited their son Evan who attends school at BYU in Provo. Norman and Janna Haslem accompanied ac-companied by Glenn and Ada Openshaw Open-shaw went to Salt Lake City Thursday to attend the wedding of the Openshaws granddaughter, Deanna Openshaw and P. Rodney Thompson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They returned Thursday night after the reception. The two Naples wards held -their Relief Society Seminar last week in the Naples cultural Hall. Naples 1st Ward was Tuesday evening and Naples 2nd Ward was held Wednesday evening. Robert and Claire Nuttall and daughter Eileen of Chula Vista, Calif., visited their parents, Clarence and Elsie Palmer last week. Fern Everett and son Reg of Fruita, Colo., were overnight visitors of Nellie Richens. Fern is Mrs. Richens' daughter. Ron and Terri Richards have a new son born Aug. 30 in the Uintah County Hospital. The baby weighed seven pounds three ounces and will be named Ryan Kim. Kinus and Tammy Harrison have a baby boy born Sept. 2 in the Uintah County Hospital. The baby weighed six pounds and will be named Scott Linus. Sterling Merrell of Lehi visited his sister Elva Manwaring Wednesday evening. Jeff and Patty Merrell enjoyed ten days in Kentucky and Tennessee where Jess was on an LDS mission. Kenneth Reynolds returned from Salt Lake City last Monday evening. Mrs. Reynolds stayed in Salt Lake to be near Brett who was in the University. Medical Center on Friday. Mr. Reynolds returned to Salt Lake to bring his wife and son home. Glen and Toni Reynolds and sons Kirk and Fred went to Salt Lake City Sept. 2 where Kirk had a checkup on his injured knee. Brenda Olsen entertained agroup of youngsters Sept. 2 at her home in honor of Troy Reynolds sixth birthday. They enjoyed games and refreshments. Sheila Lind entertained at a birthday party in honor of her daughter Loret-ta's Loret-ta's sixth birthday, Saturday. The group of youngsters enjoyed an afternoon af-ternoon of games and refreshments were served. Leo and Nora Porter of Ogden spent last week at the Larry Gene Jackson home. The Porters are Mrs. Jackson's parents. Toni Reynolds had a family cookout in honor of her son Fred's fourth birthday, bir-thday, Thursday. Present were Linda Murray and sons, Kenneth Reynolds and sons, Frank and JoAnn Novinger and children, Lee and Marilyn Broadbent, the Linus Openshaws, David and Gregory Olsen and the Glen Reynolds and sons. David and Marilyn Smith and children went to a Thomas H. Smith family reunion held at Orem Saturday, Aug. 30. They returned Monday evening. Ralph and Nellie Southam spent three days visiting last week. They visited the Marlin and Kenneth Moon families in Midview and the Deloss Workmans in Salt Lake City, the David Jenkins and Harold Allreds in Provo and the Albert Pages in Myton. They returned home Friday night. Jack and Reita Ruppe and family and Lorin and Cindy Ruppe of Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Winder from Idaho Falls, Idaho, visited Reva and Larry Ruppe Sunday afternoon. Morris and Norda Cook accompanied by Janeen Cook and Marysa Cook went to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. Cook went for medical attention, Marysa went to the orthodontist and Janeet took Duchesne County's 4-H exhibits to the State Fair. Mr. and Mrs. John Hunting have moved into Naples 1st Ward. |
