Show New oil and gas drilling explorations Great Salt Lake Amoco Production assembling and preparing the Parker Drilling Company Com-pany rotary rig (90 X 180 FTTrarge) to a site in the southern portion of the lake about 10 miles west of Antelope Island. Bear Lake Area Marathon Oil Company is drilling below 1600 feet at the No. 1)8 Mud Springs test well, a projected 9500 ft test of the Nugget formation. It is east of the lake and northwest of the Hogback Ridge area. Summit County Three wildcat wells are drilling. Amoco Production is drilling below 1500 feet at the 7,550 foot test well, the No. 2 Island Ranching-B. Anschutz Corporation Cor-poration has started drilling operations at its No. 34-2 well, projected to at least 19.000 feet. Both are in the Anschutz Ranch vicinity north of Pineview. Amoco Production drilled to 11,353 feet at the No. 1 Bountiful Livestock well and is evaluating information- concerning con-cerning geologic conditions. It was originally scheduled as a Nugget formation for-mation test. New drilling is scheduled in Utah's Grand County in the Bryson Canyon area by Palmer Oil & Gas Company of Billings. The company will drill the No. 35-10 Federal, a projected 5,800 foot Morrison formation test.
