The Mountain States Barrel Racing Association finals are set for Saturday in Vernal. Cowgirls to clash in final MSBRA meet, Saturday Cowgirls will clash for number one titles in goat tying," open and novice barrel bar-rel racing, pole bending and team roping rop-ing in the Mountain States Barrel Racing Rac-ing Association Finals, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The action will be held at the Uintah Uin-tah County Fairgrounds in Vernal, and cowgirls from Vernal, Manila, Roosevelt, Ft. Duchesne, Rangely, Colorado, Col-orado, as well as from other cities will compete in the meet. Signups will begin at 7 p.m. Loni Cordova is in first place in the open barrel racing standings, and Cindy Cin-dy Young is in second place. Patsy Mecham is in third place, and Lori McNeill is in fourth place. Bobette Warren War-ren is in fifth place. Bonnie Barker is in first place in the novice barrels, and Debbie Jo Cook is in second place. Betty Springer is in third place, and Joan Reidhead is in fourth place. The top goat tier is Cindy Young, and Patsy Mecham is in second place. Lori McNeill is in third place, and Bobette. Warren is in fourth place. Bobette Warren is in first place in the team roping and Ann Petersen is in second se-cond place. Joan Reidhead is in third place. Barrel racing was held at the Hilltop Arena in Roosevelt, Saturday. Loni Cordova pocketed first place in the i open barrel race with a time of 17.886. t. Patsy Mecham placed second at 17.869, and Debbie Jo Cook placed third at 18.7.
