Show Daytime USUEC classes offered Several classes are being offered by Utah State University Education Center during the daytime. These college classes will be held at the Uintah High School and are also offered to high school seniors. The classes include SS 105. Public Speaking; Theatre Arts 101, Understanding Un-derstanding Theatre; LS 101, Biology' and the Citizen; and PS 220, Analytic Geometry and Calculus of a Single Variable. Public Speaking, taught by Gene Kirk, will be taught daily at 7:20 a.m. and carries three credit hours. It covers formal public speaking, developing skills in speech preparation, delivery, and audience adaptation. Theatre Arts, taught by Nels Carlson, will be held daily at 8:45 a.m. and carries five credit hours. It will survey dramatic principles and theatrical conventions and explore the function of theatre personnel and practices of the contemporary stage. Biology and the Citizen, taught by Kristen Wilson, will be held daily at 9:45 and carries five credit hours. It covers the principles of biology as they relate to the individual's everyday life and the environment. Calculus, taught by Curtis May, will be held daily at 12:25 and carries five credit hours. It will cover the differential dif-ferential and integral calculus introduced in-troduced during the first quarter with supporting analytic geometry. |
