Show James England, Esq. (Esquire), of Plain City in Weber County, gave us a pleasant call on Saturday last. This gentleman is sole agent in northern Utah for "Hill's Manual of Social and Business Forms," and also for the "Pictorial Family Bible," both works being sold only on subscription. "Hill's Manual," as it is commonly called, is the most complete work of the kind ever issued from any press; and is the standard authority in all matters upon which it treats. Scarcely any question will ever arise in commercial or social life, a decision of which cannot be found in the "Manual." The book also contains a fine dictionary of synonymous terms, poetical words, & &c. (etc.); and has a collection of the finest gems of literature. It is bound in 3 different styles at different prices. No person, who desires to observe the rules of society and business, should be without a copy. "The Pictorial Family Bible," which is sold by Mr. England has no superior in America. Quality of material and price should both command it to the people. It contains, in addition to the Old and New Testaments, a fine scriptural dictionary, concordance, apocrypha, innumerable tables all embellished by superb steel engravings and artistic wood cuts. Of course, it is needless to state that every family should be in possession of the Good Book; therefore we have but to say that Mr. England will soon visit this part of the country, and they will consult their own interests by ordering books from him. |
