Show ALTON! by Miss Gladys Petty Mr. Hugh Stevens had an attack at-tack of appendicitis Sunday and was rushed to Roosevelt Hospital. Mrs Sam Crosby who has been ill for sometime at Roosevelt Hospital Hos-pital is now staying in Altonah with her Mother Mrs. Hugh Stevens". Stev-ens". The opening P. T. A. Social given Saturday night last was a big success. o Funeral services were held Saturday Sat-urday at 2 o'clock P. M. for the two months old baby of Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. The Misses Melba Moffitt and Madora Brandon of Boneta took I part In our program Saturday night and were all night guests of Mrs. R. Moffitt. o Funeral services were held Tues day Oct. 3 for the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Nat-shle. Nat-shle. o Mrs. Martin Allred has as her guests two small grand children from Spring Canyon. Mr. Jimm Murray and family will occupy two rooms of Mrs. Heber Carrolls house for the winter. wint-er. Mrs. George Carroll is home now with her new baby daughter. Too Late For Last Week Our first Mutual meeting was held Tuesday September 27th and there was a fairly good attendance. attend-ance. We have some new Officers in and have every right to believe they are going to make it a big success. o Mr. and Mrs. Vera Dastrup will give their wedding dance Friday, October 6th. o Mrs. Iva Smith took her small son Lyle to Duchesne to the Doctor Doc-tor Tuesday. Part of Altonah at least are trying try-ing to forget the depression. Last Friday night a majority of Altonah Alton-ah and Mt. Emmons enjoyed an old-time dance in the Ward Hall given by Mr. George Burrett. We are looking forkard to an exciting excit-ing winter and invite all adjoining adjoin-ing towns to join us. Mr. Frank Beebe of Grand Junction, Jun-ction, Colorado is here visiting with relatives for a week. o Gerald Jacobson left Tuesday Morning for Heber City with a herd of steers to sell. Mr. Croft principal of the school and his family have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Conklin for the past few weeks, but have now rented part of Wallace Wardles house. o Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Maxwell and families of Mvton plan to move up to Altonah for the winter months. o Mr. Dunne of Carbon County moved his family into their new home a few weeks ago two of the children have started to school. Mr. Heber Carroll has been quite sick but is slowly improving and able to be around again. Helen Jacobson has been sick and unable to attend school for the past few days. o The main road in Clay Basin is being worked on at present and is already greatly improved. I |
