Show School Board Meets Highlights from the regular meeting of the Duchesne School Board meeting, Tuesday, reveal the following. School opened at Talmage last Thursday, in a building rented from Mr. Davis. The old unused school building at Hayden has been sold to Uintah county to be moved to Alturia. Laurel Hill of 'Roosevelt has been recommended for the U. of U. Scholarship. The census will be taken between be-tween the 15th and 31st of this month. We will publish the list of the enumerators next week. U. E. A. will meet in Salt Lake City on the 27 th and 28 th. In order that the teachers may attend at-tend on Friday 27th, school will be held on Saturday the 21st. Total enrollment of the district at the end of the first week was 2569, as compared to 2475 for the same time a year ago. We are increasing in-creasing in population anyway. Miss Brockbank, state Primary Supersisor, Mr. L. R. Humphries, Supervision of Agricultural education, educ-ation, and Mr. Masiah Hall, Supervisor Sup-ervisor of Civilian rehabilitation and Sec. of Libraries visited the schools in Duchesne, Myton and Roosevelt this week. |
