Show District court ended lengthy session Friday It was a busy time in District Court last week, reported Judge Edward Sheya, after finishing up a full calendar on Friday. Thursday, Sept. 15, in the civil case of John D. Adams vs. Norma Newell, Mr. Adams asked the court to change the custody of two children from Norma Newell, their mother, to himself. The court, after hearing all evidence and having reviewed the reports received on the home conditions condi-tions of both parties and other factors, decided that the best interest of the children was to have the custody changed as requested. In the case of Gilbert Allred vs. Kitty F. Kelling doing business as Kelling Insurance Agency, the court heard all evidence and took the matter under advisement, pending, the furnishing of memoranda of legal authorities by the respective counsel. Also on that day, in the State vs. Gordon Keith Logan, the defendant appeared for arraignment on a charge of aggravated assault. His attorney attor-ney was present, and the defendant entered a plea of not guilty to the charge. His trial was set before a jury to commence Jan. 19, 1978. |
