They had to identify many types of insects correctly in order to win these ribbons. State 4 H contests can bo entered by any 4 II member who has passed his 14th birthday, and has completed at least three years of 411 work projects. Next year Grand County hopes to take many more youths to the state contest. Itesides winning ribbons, Laurie and Mary received silver certificates worth $50.00. Their record books will compete with 100 others across the nation. Only 24 books will be selected in each division as top notch to send their owners on to National competition. If Mary Walker andor Laurie Hotzel's record books look good enough they will be flown to Chicago, 111. for an all expense paid trip at the Nationid 411 competition. |
