Show Burglaries cleared after arrest here by Police Two arrests made this week by city police cleared up several incidents of recent burglaries. Arrested the evening of Nov. 3 were a Dirk Donald Wichterman and a juvenile. Wichterman was charged with burglary of the Country Clean Laundry, auto burglary of a vehicle belonging to Herbert Toohey, and possession posses-sion of stolen property from an auto burglary on Oct. 27 of a vehicle belonging to Jeffery r aire. All missing items from these incidents were recovered recover-ed except a purse, money and credit cards belonging to Mrs. Kaire. The juvenile was charged with auto burglary and possession pos-session of stolen property. He was turned over to juvenile authorities and taken back to the Stale Industrial School, from which he waa on probation. The first Incident was reported re-ported the morning of Nov. 3 al the Travrlxxige. A vehicle belonging to Herbert Toohey was broken into by use of a wire, and a vest, a down jacket and a carton of cigarettes cigar-ettes were taken. Value of the items was estimated at $90. The same morning the Country Clean Laundry had a window broken for entry, and a slero and tape player valued at about $.'W0 were taken. In other incidents an act of vandalism was reported Nov. 7 at the residence of Madge Warde, 30 W. Center, where two small windows were broken with rocks. On Nov. 4 there were 4 tires and wheels stolen from a pickup belonging to John 0-learain, 0-learain, 387 Park Drive. The wheels and tires fit any 5 hole pickup or 4 wheel drive vehicle ve-hicle and are valued at (650. On Nov. 5 Joseph William West was arrested and charged with keeping a loaded firearm in a vehicle. On Nov. 2 it was reported to a police a 10 speed girl's bike belonging to Joanne Montoya was stolen from 481 Shumway. On Nov. 2 Carl Chandler. 189 Holiday Haven, reported that about 10 12 sheets of metal trailer skirting had been taken from his premises. Value was estimated at about JlJtX). There was an accident Nov. 5 at 1:45 p.m. in the Poor Boy parking lot. Sharon Wiggins was backing back-ing a 19 Cadillac and turned in to a 1977 Plymouth driven by Laree Anderson. There was about $100 damage to the Plymouth and about $50 damage dam-age to the Cadillac. No citations cita-tions were issued u the accident was on private property. |
