There was a total of 2,520 registered voters for the election, and of these 1430, or 56.7 per cent turned out at the polls Tuesday. This included 63 absentee voters. There were also a number of write-ir votes for Council. In District 1 Becky McCormick, Sam Taylor and Mel Swanson each received a write-in vote for Mayor. In District 4 Edgar Wilcox, Gary Merrit, Carl Rappe, Les Erbes and Ron Auger each received a write-in vote. Connie Caouette received a write-in vote in District 5.
