Show Louis Hendrickx Celebrates 20 Years With NPS Louis A. Hendrickx, park manager of Natural Bridges National Monument, this week celebrated completion of twenty twen-ty years in governemtn service. ser-vice. Hendrickx, attending the monthly meeting in Moab, accepted congratulations from Supt. Pete Parry and the Canyonlands Complex staff, and was presented with a Department of the Interior emblem commemorating the occasion. An employee of the National Park Service since 1962, Hendrickx was hired as a park ranger in Glacier National Park and served in three different districts in that park before transferring to Death Valley National Monument in 1967. Four years later he again transferred, this time to his present duty station at Natural Bridges. His prior government experience was with the Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife in Idaho, and he spent five summers working on forest disease control. Hendrickx Hend-rickx did a three-year tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force and holds a B.S. degree in forestry from the University of Montana. |
