Show Rose Tea Held by Literary Club of the Woman's Literary Club held their annual rose tea on Tuesday, May 25, at the director's room of the Moab National Bank. The center serving table was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers from Ila Corbin's garden. The centerpiece was of yellow Iriis, white roses, and orange or-ange blossoms with tall yellow candles on each side. Decorating which followed the color pattern of the head table was done by Da Corbin. Installing the officers for 1971-72 was Mrs. Gen Pope. Elected for the coming com-ing year were: President, jMary Lynn Jensen; Vice-President, Vice-President, Jeanette Mike-sell Mike-sell ; Secretary, Shirley Phillips; Treasurer, Leona Christensen; and Historian, Histor-ian, Ila Corbin. This will be Mrs. Jensen's Jen-sen's second term in office as president of the club. Following installation ceremonies, ce-remonies, a brief business meeting was held and a committee of Ila Corbin, iMadge Warde, Leona Christensen and Diana Norman was formed to decide de-cide on projects for the coming year. Chairmen of next year's programs are: Esther Bal-la, Bal-la, international affairs; Palma Jacobs, public affairs; af-fairs; Ann Poole, home life; Diane Norman, education; edu-cation; and Ila Corbin, conservation. Mrs. Jeanette Mikesell was given charge of choosing choos-ing gifts for the Dating Game couple which was in Moab last week and was also to be in charge of welcoming wel-coming them to Moab. |
