A few months ago. Atlas announced announc-ed that at the Moab mill, crews would operate on a 10 day on, four day off schedule in an attempt to V"ut operating- costs. Few people were involved in the shift change, but the four day complete shutdown period was designed to cut operating costs considerably. considerab-ly. Only a small quantity of uranium concentrate was sold during the third quarter, the firm announced. announ-ced. Announced at the same time as the new contracts, were operating figures for the nine months period which ended March 31. The firm showed a net profit of S249.93S for the nine months, mon-ths, compared with only $38,107 for the same period a year prior.
