Show brighter days ahead A comparatively small corporation fighting the past few months to keep in operation until things improved market-wise, seems to be coming on better times. Atlas Minerals Corp., operator of the uranium processing pro-cessing mill at Moab for many years, has just announced two new sales contracts which better than double 'contracts 'con-tracts already in hand, which weren't to take effect until un-til next year. The announcement, we hope, is an omen of better things to come in the uranium industry. All concentrates concen-trates covered under the contracts will go to electric power firms which are beginning to involve in a bigger way in the production of electric power from nuclear fuel sources, and the improvement of that particular industry in-dustry should come as no surprise to anyone who has been following the news of late regarding production of power from fossil fuels, particularly coal. Without question, production of electricity from nuclear fuel has problems to be dealt with to protect the environment. When stacked alongside the problems encountered in the production of electricity by high-sulphur high-sulphur coal, however, they seem small by comparison. |
