Show Hearings See On Designation Of District Public hearings will be held in Carbon, Grand, Emery and San Juan Counties late in January and early in February to discuss the Question of revoking the designation designa-tion by the County Commissions Com-missions of Carbon, Emery, Em-ery, Grand and San Juan Counties of the Southeastern South-eastern Utah Community Action Program, and designating the Southeastern South-eastern Utah Association of Governments as the agency to receive funds appropriated to Community Com-munity Action Agencies under the Economic Opportunity Op-portunity Act. Reason listed for the change designation was a dissatisfaction on the part of some of the counties coun-ties with the board which governed the CAP program. pro-gram. This board consisted con-sisted of a member of the County Commission from each of the four counties as well as individuals in-dividuals from the private pri-vate sector, minority groups and a number of other designations. The members of the County Commissions in the southeastern sou-theastern Utah area met and agreed to continue the program under the direct supervision of the Southeastern Utah Association Asso-ciation of Governments, a body comprised of the commissioners from the four counties involved. The meeting, to be held in Grand County at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 5, at the Grand County-Courthouse, County-Courthouse, is to discuss the feelings of the public concerning the change. |
