Show City Court News . . A quiet period experienced recently by law enforcement agencies was reflected by a quiet period in City Court. David Randy Madrid appeared ap-peared March 29 on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and carrying carry-ing a loaded firearm in a vehicle. He entered a plea of guilty to both charges and was sentenced to pay a $225 fine, and in default of payment to serve 45 days in jail. Also March 29, Curtis Ray Stoughton appeared on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. He entered a plea of guilty and was sentenced to pay a $50 fine. On March David Cleaveland appeared on a charge of depriving an owner of his vehicle. His attorney, Harry Snow, appeared with him. Ho entered a plea of guilty to the charge and sentencing was postponed to April 4, to allow time for the Adult Probation and Parole Board to furnish a presentence report. Cleaveland appeared for sentencing with his attorney, and he was sentenced to serve 60 days in the county jail, with 20 days off for good behavior during the jail term. Alvin William Peabody was charged with drunk driving on March 25, and posted $225 bail. When he failed to appear to answer to the charge, the bail was forfeited on April 4. |
