Show Quiet Week Local police report a quiet two weeks in Moab, with little activity. The posting of a police car near schools and other danger areas has slowed the traffic considerably, noted Chief Mel Dalton. He said sometime during the early morning hours of April 1 a 1972 Ford pickup belonging to Don Swasey was taken from his home at 532 Cliffview Ave. Chief Dalton found the vehicle ve-hicle about 10:30 a.m. the same day. A stereo, several tapes and a Homelite chain saw, total value of about $500, had been taken. On April 3 at 3 p.m. at Louie's Service Station parking park-ing lot, Miguel Sanchez was backing a 1976 Chevrolet and hit a parked 1967 Pontiac belonging to Gordon Bone. There was about $250 damage to the Pontiac and $100 damage dam-age to the Chevrolet. There were no citations as the accident was on private property. pro-perty. ' |
