Wayne Albrecht, left, the Moab District Range Specialist for Bureau of Land Management, was recently honored in a staff meeting for ten years of Federal Service. A certificate and pin were presented to Wayne by Larry Peterson, The Chief of Resources. Wayne graduated from Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas, in 1963 with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Range Management and Wildlife Management. Following graduation he joined the Soil Conservation Service in Texas as a Range Conservationist. In June 1964, Wayne transferred to the BLM in Worland, Wyoming, and for four years served as the Assistant Area Manager. Early 1968, Wayne returned to Texas where for three and one-half years he managed his own ranch. He then returned to the BLM in Kanab in August 1971, where he first served as the Assistant Area Manager and later was promoted to The District RangeWildlife Specialist. A year ago Wayne, his wife, Joan, and their two sons, Alan 12, and David, 8, moved to Moab. The family is now enjoying their newly completed home and the recreational activities in the area. |
