Show Police Report Numerous Traffic Accidents in Moab City Police officers this week reported a number of traffic accidents in Moab City. On Oct. 8, on Main and Third North, Terry McKin-non, McKin-non, driving a 1971 Ford pickup ran into the rear of an auto driven by Eugene Gorde, doing about $500 damage dam-age to the pickup and about $100 to the Gorde auto. Mc-Kinnon Mc-Kinnon was cited for improper impro-per lookout causing an accident. acci-dent. Art Manzanares was cited for failure to report an accident acci-dent and leaving the scene of an accident after he ran into a 1969 Ford driven by Jeannie Trusty on the corner of Opal Lane and 4th North on Oct. 10. About $100 damage dam-age was done to Manzanares' 1966 Ford and the same amount am-ount of damage was listed to the Trusty car. An unknown vehicle ran into a car belonging to Joseph Cannon as the car was parked park-ed in the Ramada Inn parking park-ing lot on Oct. 12. Damages were listed at $100. On Oct. 12, Cleryl Nyland, driving a 1970 Mercury backed back-ed into a 1963 Chrysler driven driv-en by Maxine Sattler. Nyland was cited for improper lookout look-out in the accident which caused $175 damage to his car and $250 to the Sattler vehicle. An accident on Oct. 13, occurred oc-curred in the Ramada Inn parking lot as Dennis M. Os-born, Os-born, driving a 1971 Plymouth backed into one of the signs located there. Damage was estimated at $150. Police Chief Melvin S. Dal-ton Dal-ton also reported that last weekend, the Moab Lumber Company was vandalized and paint poured over the floor of a storage shed there. A large number of Christmas lights were also destroyed. Two juvenile boys ages 8 and 9 were picked up in the incident inci-dent and were turned over to juvenile authorities. Other acts of vandalism during the week included a lock broken off a pop machine ma-chine at the Day-Nite Laundry Laun-dry and a rock thrown thru a window at the Towne House Cleaners. |
