Show Vernal Man Now Leads Travel Council Ken Sowards, newly appointed ap-pointed board chairman of the Utah Travel Council, will preside over the Travel Council's Coun-cil's bi-monthly board meeting scheduled for Friday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. in Council Hall. Sowards, a Vernal businessman, business-man, is past president of the Utah Jaycees, an honors graduate gra-duate from the University of Utah's College of Business, and holder of an Industrial Administration degree from cuss pans for the coming of Business. Sowards replaces former board chairman, Murray M. Moler, Associate Editor of the Ogden Standard Examiner. Mr. Moler was appointed to fill the vice chairman position posi-tion on the Utah Travel Council Coun-cil board. Representatives from Utah's nine promotional regions have been invited to the board meeting to review their summer sum-mer tourist seasons and dis-Jolly, dis-Jolly, assistant director of year and problems encountered encounter-ed over the past year. An analysis of literature distribution and mailing programs pro-grams led by Steve Lawson, Travel Council Information Director, will be included in the morning session. Milt Joliey, assistant director of the Utah Travel Council, will use the morning meeting to report on progress made on highway signing programs. The afternoon session will include discussions on recent hearings including development develop-ment at Flaming Gorge, Can-yonlands, Can-yonlands, and the proposed closing of North Temple St. |
