Show I... j PJlelon Days Scheduled This Week At Green River ' What with cold, late spring which necessitated planting the- melons two or three times, the ripening date has been set back for this fall. Melon Day has been set for this weekend, the 13th and 14th, but since most of us haven't had a taste of the goodies yet, we don't have the proper spirit. The one canteloupe I did eat was superb. The Vetere shed is open, but not enough melons are coming in to keep open all day, and few watermelons are being offered. However, that doesn't completely com-pletely defeat the Chamber of Commerce, who are sponsoring sponsor-ing Melon Day, with Tim Anderson as General Chairman. Chair-man.
