Show Mr. and Mrs. Deward James McLean II Kathy Stobaugh, D. H. McLean !I Married in Recent Ceremonies Double-ring rites at the Community Baptist church, last Sunday afternoon, June 15, united in marriage Miss Kathy Sue Stobaugh, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Stobaugh of Etiglewood, Colorado, and Deward James Jam-es McLean II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Deward J. McLean of Moab. The Rev. Emil M. Balla officiated. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired at-tired in a floor length gown of weighted crepe with pleated pleat-ed bodice with delicate lace accenting the neckline and the tiny puff sleeves.' Her high, bouffant veil was chapel cha-pel length. She carried a bouquet of burgundy and pink carnations and an heirloom heir-loom bridal handkerchief, used by her maternal grand- mother, a great aunt, her mother, sister and numer-out numer-out other brides. Her maid of honor, Miss Denice Marksberry, wore a sleeveless floor length dress of burgundy weighted crepe with a matching large, single sin-gle bow in her hair. She carried a single long-stemmed, pink rosebud. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Edward K. Dalton, sister of the bride, of Brooksdale, Oalif. ; Miss Helen Hansen and Miss Dianne Elmont of Englewood, Colo.; and Miss Lisa Kinney of Laramie, Wyo. All wore floor length, sleeveless dresses of pink weighted crepe with matching match-ing hair bows, and carried single long-stemmed burgundy burgun-dy rosebuds. All dresses repeated re-peated the fashion worn by the bride. Richard D. Mason served as best man. Ushers were Brent Jacobs, Jerry Miller, Danny ' Carter, Moab; and Robert Contreres, Grants, New Mexico. Miss Alice Pantel, Englewood, Engle-wood, Colo., and Jim Hayes were candlelighters. Miss Pantel wore a short burgundy burgun-dy dress of weighted crepe, the style again repeating the bride's. Her corsage was of pink carnations. An aqua gown of embroidered embroid-ered organza with white accessories ac-cessories was chosen by the bride's mother. Mrs. McLean Mc-Lean wore a skimmer of pink textured cotton trimmed trimm-ed with Venice type lace and complimented by pink and rose accessories. Corsages of both mothers were white carnations. Mrs. Art Ross, organist, played the traditional wedding wed-ding marches. Special selections selec-tions were provided by Mr. Carl Self, who sang, "The' Greatest of These is Love" and "The Lord's Prayer." Miss Debbie Schwartzman, cousin of the groom, Biloxi, Miss., presided at the guest book. Miss Sherry Hansen, Arvada, Colo., and Miss La-Vonna La-Vonna Walker were in charge of gifts. " A receptoin in the Fellowship Fellow-ship Hall followed the ceremony. cere-mony. Colo.; Mrs. John Martin, Mrs. Ralph Wobick, Grand Junction, Colo. Out of town guests included includ-ed Mr. and Mrs. R. Charles Ross, Lake Tishomingo, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Schwartzman, of Biloxi, Miss.; Mr. and Mrs. Ferman Kelly, Miss Carolyn Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. John Martin, Mr. and Mrs. John Wobick, Grand Junction, Colo.; Mrs. Robert Contreres, Grants, N.M.; Tim Schvaneveldt, Dallas, Texas; Don Swasey, Ferron, Utah; Lou Ann Adair, Price; Rae Lynn Kinder, Huntington; Hunting-ton; and Robert Ruguto, of Price. The bride, a former resi-, resi-, dent of Moab, is a 1969 graduate grad-uate of Englewood High School, Englewood, Colo., where she was a member of ' the National Honor Society, Pep Club, Deca and Human, Relations Club. The groom was a member of the 1967 graduating class of Grand County High School. He was active in sports while ' in high school. He graduated from College of Eastern Utah in Price this, spring. Both plan to continue .their studies stu-dies at Weber State College, Ogden, this fall. Following a honeymoon in Lake City, Co' lorado, they are at home at 195 E. 2nd North in Moab". . The bridal party was entertained en-tertained at a rehearsal dinner din-ner the evening of June 14 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Taylor. Mrs. Guy Bradley served as co-hostess, assisted by Mrs. Herman Her-man Grossman and Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Dalton. |
