Show Most county officers j facing election; j filing period nears i The schedule of events for a regular election year gets underway on April 17, when filing opens for offices which are up for election this fall. Filing will remain open until May 10, with candidates to be nominated nomina-ted at the regular Primary Election on Sept. 12. County offices to be filled this year, along with the names of those ! persons currently filling those I offices, follows: 4-year Commis-j Commis-j sioner, A. Dan Holyoak; 2-year Commissioner, Leo Burr; Sheriff, W.H. Bowman; Clerk-Auditor, I Barbara Domenick; Assessor, Ken- neth Beach; Recorder, Alice Mc-I Mc-I Kinney; Treasurer, Donna Love-I Love-I ridge; Attorney, William Benge; j Surveyor, John Keogh; Justice of , the Peace, A.L. Lange; Cemetery Maintenance Commissioner, Lee Howland; Fire Protection Commis- sioner, new position. The School Board positions in J Districts 1, 2, and 3, currently filled j by Betty Dalton, Yvonne Hawks ! and Richard Garcia, will also be up for election. j Monthly salaries for the various county offices are: commissioner, I $400; Sheriff, $1,181; clerk-auditor I and attorney, $1,075; assessor, J recorder and treasurer, $987; and ! justice of the peace, $1000. Pay for the county surveyor is according to the type of work done for the j county. I The cemetery maintenance I commissioner and fire protection j commissioner are non-salaried j jobs. I School board members receive j $100 per month for their service. j Other offices to be on the ballot I this fall include a Congressman in I this district, a member of the Utah J House of Representatives, a j Supreme Court Justice and a District Court Judge. i |
