Mr. Wayne Stout, left,, of Pocatello, Idaho, congratulates congratu-lates Izzy Nelson, co-owner of Nelson's TV and Refrigeration, Refriger-ation, for his participation in Toastmaster's Area 7 speech contest, as Art Morton, Governor Gov-ernor of Area 7, looks on, at right. Mr. Stout heads up District Dis-trict 15 of which Area 7 is a part. District 15 covers Utah, Idaho and part of Oregon, and is included in the Regional area which this year holds its convention in Anchorage, Alaska. Al-aska. Mr. Nelson lost his bid for a slot in the District contest to Mr. Gene Fields of Salt Lake City, Key Club. Mr. Fields gave a fine speech entitled en-titled "Cause of Death . SelMnflicted Abortion." Mr. Fields will represent Area I in the District contest to be held in Salt Lake City on May 18. The afternoon educational session was well renresented from the Moab Toastmasters Club, with F. A. Kubes, N; R. ; Cleveringa, Keith Brewer and William Green in attendance, as well as Mr. Nelson. Everyone Every-one v.'ho attended received some helpful pointers toward improving Toastmastering in Moab. |
