Show Dear Editor, There is a Public Service Announcement on the communication com-munication facilities that I, for one, cannot abide. To quote the announcer "Don't help a good boy go wrong. Lock your car and take the keys." Isn't anyone in this generation instilling in-stilling a concience in these "good boys?" There are "bad boys" from whom you cannot lock anything. They will either eith-er break in or knock you in the head to take what their little hearts desire even if this heart's desire is just a "lark." Will somebody please fell me how you can help a GOOD boy go wrong just by leaving your car unlocked? If they ARE good boys they won't even notice whether you did or not. If they do notice, they are looking fo rtrouble or else it won't make any difference dif-ference anyway. If they are "good boys" looking for trouble trou-ble then they need to be reclassified. re-classified. Instead of making public service announcements to thhe property owners to put everything under lock and key, why in the heck don't they make the announcements 1 to the "good boys" to respect other people's property and not to look for trouble. I hardly hard-ly think that a moment of for-getfulness for-getfulness is contributing to the delinquency of "good boys." I suggest that they correct cor-rect this statement and direct dir-ect it to the ones they are trying try-ing to help. Something like this: "Don't put a respectful working man afoot. Next time you see an unlocked car pass it up." Mary Ann Morehouse |
