THREE TOWNSHIPS OPENED OIL PERMITS ARE VALID three townships m san juan coun 1 ty formerly included in an executive order indian withdrawal are restored to the public domain by an order of the interior department re at the salt lake land office thursday revocation of the withdrawal or j der will make valid pending oil and gas prospecting permits which un der an opinion of former attorney general stone have either been denied or held up the land is not the same as that m the so called navajo reservation it is townships 36 37 and 38 range 24 south and is located a short distance southwest of blanding however it is all prospective oil land and the restoration will avoid court controversies after feb 4 this land will be op en to homestead entry with the us ual preference rights to veterans of the world war and subject to the oil prospecting rights that may be issued under the leasing act
