BY MEMBERS OF P T A the parent teachers association will ie host to the high school student body at a dance to be agnen in the star hall about the middle of february according to sirs G A robertson president of the association patrons of the school are manifesting unusual interest m the association this year the january meeting held last wednesday night was the most largely attended of any ever held by the association and school auditorium was filled to ca lacity the program consisted of reading of resolutions of the high school stu dent body by jack clark president in which the support of the student body for a campaign of tho board of education against smoking by stu dents was pledged talk by W C cantrell numbers from the grade schools under the direction of mrs mignon cummings and misses edith rutledge and thelma ritchie teachers community singing directed by miss elinor chappie of the i music department and a talk by the I 1 rev jonathon A wood refreshments were served b chis jessie dark of the science deportment mrs L L mrs lottie hammond and miss norma peterson were appointed a committee to arrange for the program fr the february meeting
