I with wih active oil oi development operations w The lines alluded to are many in number and each has its is attractive features from an investment or speculative point of view They include real estate and building operations in cities cites and towns which are arc certain to be favorably affected by the advent of an oil oi oiA A boom boom the bu buying ing and selling of leases of various kinds of lauds lands and nd especially of prospective oil oi lauds lands investments in royalty projects investments in stocks of companies organized for the purpose of acquiring holdings and to conduct development opera opera- I T ions in a businesslike manner providing transportation facilities and the bu buying ing and selling of rigs and machiner machinery Judging from reports received from the sections of the state which will i promise to be the scenes of the greatest activity in connection connection con con- with wih oil oi development operations interest in all al the various u lines enumerated is increasing and the indications are arc that t the e people of the state generally after a season of ness to the coming investments activity are arc awakening to the possibilities of remunerative As declared in this column last Sunday there is known to exist n in some sections of Utah as the result of shallow drilling years ago an oil oi supply of a sufficient extent to result in a veritable boom in any a y other state if similar conditions were discovered there ther Besides these known conditions there exist many extensive Structures which have been favorably reported upon by a number of the leading practical geologists of the country with the result resul a as already known that hundreds s of thousands c of dollars even thus far ar have been expended by one of the great oil 01 producing companies of the country in il development operations in three of the numerous fields felds Seemingly there has been a disposition to await the result of c the drilling work of this particular company If I this this' is true the waiting probably will wi soon be over as the work has so far progressed progressed pro pro- gressed in two of the fields that some interesting disclosures may shortly be expected J It I can safely be said too that favorable developments will wi mean a disappointment to many who have persisted in waiting their announcement before making a move as it will wi mean the passing of some of the many opportunities of reaping the greatest benefits from careful investments previous to the advent of a real boom |
