Show BOND CHAIRMEN HONORED BY DINNER Utah men and women who have given their time, efforts and energies as county, city, I state chairmen on behalf of the U. S. Treasury Savings Bonds were honored April 12, when "Patriots' Day" was observed. In Utah the observance was a dinner din-ner tendered by Gov. J. Bracken Lee at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. Invited from Bingham district was W. Russell Anderson, chairman chair-man of the citizen's bond com-jmittee com-jmittee and head of savings bond I sales in the county. I Gov. Lee took the occasion to thank the county and state chairmen chair-men for their patriotic work in the past, and to wish them well in the "Opportunity Drive" in which they will undertake to sell $3,250,000 in Series E bonds between be-tween May 16 and June 30, in the biggest bond drive undertaken under-taken by the government since the war bond drives. Chairman Anderson will be in charge of sales during that campaign cam-paign in Bingham district, and will head an active committee which will assist in the work. |
