Show MAGAZINE HAS BIG EOOST FOR UTAH If the Utah Development league, the publicity bureau of tha Commercial club and the people of Washington and Iron counties are "wise" to aa opportunity they will at onoe order an extra edition of th July number of '"The Arrowhead" and send the numbers broadcast, east snd west. It Is by far the best and most concise advertlsemsnt for the southwest part of the stats that has ever been issued In magaslne form. There Is not a line In the edition, outside of advertising advertis-ing mstter, that Is not a boost for Utah. And the beauty of It all Is that there Is not one sentenoe In any article that can OS disputed. Incldentslly the Issue shows that the Sslt laake rout la preparing for the development de-velopment of the southwest of this state, thst it Is alive to the opportunities which that section offers and will try to meet the demand for railroad extensions aa fast as possible. That LHMiglas White, Industrial agent for the Kelt fake rout, had no little part In making the July Issue of The Arrowhead" Is apparent on many pages. "Dug." ss 'his friend know, haa long been a booster for L'tah and In the present pres-ent number of th official publication of the Halt Lake route he has grouped together to-gether some facts shout southern Utah that will be a surprise to many off the old residents of the state. In this work he has been assisted by some of tha ahlest men of th estats. The front nags of th magaslne shows a picture pic-ture of "Chse of th Beauty Snots In Washington County, l'tah." The first ar-tlcls ar-tlcls Is entitled "Bon them IMsh as I Know It." and Is written by Oov. Wll-llam Wll-llam Apr The article Is rather short, but In every line the governor proves that he knows whst he Is talking about and has faith In the future or the state. The majority of the people of I'Uh. as well as those of other parts of tba country coun-try ran read with profit the article "Washington County Clah's IMxIe." by John R. Wallls. secretary of th St. Oeorge Commercial club. There are about flvsj pages with Illustrations, but every lino I worth reading. Mr. Wallls does not waste words In describing the wonderful country of the southwest county coun-ty of l'tah. He tells his story In short, terse sentences and gives a history of the county that will be of value to every old timer In Utah who does not know the facts. I "Some of Dixie's ftHenlo Wonders' Is I the tltb of the nest article, which la Illustrated Il-lustrated with a half-ton of Mukuntu-weap Mukuntu-weap canyon, noted aa the grandest and most beautiful hit af scenery on the American continent. Though taking up but two pages of th magaslne. the article ar-ticle Is one of the most fascinating that lias appeared In the west In a long time. H. H. l.unt, secretary of the Cedar City Commercial club, contributes an article ar-ticle on "Marveloua Resources of Iron Countv." Mr. Iunt evidently believes In the old saving "figures d not He" and he ? resents figure to show that Iron county, 'tah. haa some of th ares test natural resources of snv county In the west. "The Development of Iron County" Is the next article, snd thou ah no nams Is glvn aa th author. It Is evident that the man who wrote tt knew whereof he was speaking. In addition to the leading articles the number is filled with valuable Information Informa-tion about matters nf Interest In (Ttah: 1 for Instance. "The Carev Act tn l'tah.' "fftat of Ttah Projecte," ''Vital Figures of l'tah." "Making Huver. Conservation In rtsh." Ttah Horticulture," "Ash Creek Irritation Prolert," "Virgin River Irrigation Project." 'Mlllard County I .and Is Hectored." "New l'tah I -and Companies Com-panies " "Salt Lak City." "More Water for Cedar" and "New Industry for Prove |
