Show HEBER SMITH IS HURT IN RUNAWAY Heber J. Smith, chief deputy in the state food and dairy commissioner 's office, was thrown from a' buggy in Og-den Og-den canyon yesterday afternoon and painfully injured. Mf. Smith, accompanied accom-panied by W. P. Pratt, deputy commissioner, commis-sioner, was returning from an inspe-cton inspe-cton of dairies at Huntsville. When near the Hermitage, in Ogden canyon, their horse shied at a dead animal on the road side and plunged over, the embankment, throwing the occupants of the buggy to the ground. C. W. Ward of the Ogdea Confection eon pany took the men to Ogden in his sutomobile, and they came to Salt Lake City on a late afternoon train. Mr. ftaiith went to his home, 951 Laird avenue, where a physician was called to examine him. Though Mr. Smith is badly bruised and shaken up, and probably injured slightly internally. Dr. Wilcox says he ia ia no dsnger. and will be all right again in a few days. |
