Show MINING MEN WANT COINAGE RESUMED SPOKANE, Wash., July IS. At a meeting of tha Mining Men 'a club of Spokane yesterday tha following reeo lution waa adopted: "We recommend that eongreea direct di-rect the secretary of tha treasury to eelablish a mint at Seattle, Wash., for the coinage of gold and ailver, that the mint, at Denver and Ran Francisco be ordered to raeume eoinar of both metals, met-als, and that mil demands for the coins of either gad both metals in the district dis-trict dying west of tbe Mississippi river be filled from one or the other of tbe mints hereto named ; transportation fharjres to be paid by the federal government gov-ernment and charged against the mint from which hipmeQt wag made. It waa also resolved that the Spokane Spo-kane Mining lien's club favors tbe placing of lead and sine and their prod ucts upon the reciprocal free list. |
