Show NEVADA-DOUGLAS NINE SOON Will Wi A RAILROAD W. C. rem. general manager of t he NevadaDouglas Mining company, has returned re-turned from 'an Inspection of the company com-pany mines and properties in Nevada. He saya that they are making good progress with the construction of the railroad and that It will be completed to the loading load-ing stations of the Douglas mine some time between Beptembfv 1 and 15. They have finished the grading for the ore bins and will soon be busily engaged In putting the tramway from Douglas hill to the ore bins at the railroad loading station. This work will be completed In ample time- to have ores delivered from the Nevada-Douglas properties to the Mason Valley smelting plant aa soon as the furnaces ar blown In and made ready for the receipt of custom ores. Very satisfactory progress has been made on smelter construction. At times the contractors have reported delays due to the non -arrival of material, but It now appears that all this trouble has been overcome and that the remainder of the material and equipment will be delivered as fast aa It can be Installed. A greater part of the steel structural work for all the buildings haa been received re-ceived and no 1Uy have been reported re-ported In the receipt of orick from Reno. It will be only a- matter of a few weeks until all of the building have been Inclosed, In-closed, and the smelter people expect to have the first furnaces blown In some time In October. More activity " In mine operations In that section Is looked for as a result of the completion of the railroad and smelting smelt-ing plant. The two largest producers will be the Mason Valley and Nevada-Douglaa, Nevada-Douglaa, but some of the smaller properties prop-erties are In position to forward some.
