Show CHAMBERLAIN HYDE ' PLEADS NOT GUILTY NEW TORK. May 17. Charles A. Hyde, the city chamberlain, pleaded plead-ed not guilty to an Indictment superseding super-seding the original Indictment agalnat him and waa given until May II to change hla plea. The new Indictment chargea that Hyde uaed the power of hie office to Induce Joseph G. Robin, aa principal ahareholder of th Northern bank of New York, to make loan to the Carnegie Trust company com-pany and that th arrangement between them waa "to the benefit and advantage" of Hyde, thereby conatltutlng bribery, under the penal code. , |
