The President Pres-ident is still without word from, the railway rail-way officials -' who, It la said, are coming com-ing , to Washington at J. P. Morgan's suggestion, to talk about the relations between the railroads and the Government. Govern-ment. Early visitors at the White House today, to-day, were Commissioners Harlan and Prouty of ' the Interstate Commerce commission, com-mission, who are about to start for Chicago Chi-cago to hear additional testimony In the case of the city of Spokane against various vari-ous Western railroads, the complaint in which involves alleged violation of an important im-portant provision of the amended Interstate Inter-state commerce act. No Information was obtainable at the executive offices as to the reasons for the call. The Commissioners Com-missioners themselves said their visit was for the purpose of saMng "goodbye" to the President. Recently Commissioner Harlan advanced ad-vanced i the opinion that the Interstate Commerce commission has power to deal with State laws which result In Interference Inter-ference with interstate traffic. .
