Show SPUR TRACK TO i STOCKYARDS TO BE USED BY THE CITY An understanding was reached this morning between the railroads and the citv, whereby the garbage question probablv win be settled. A meeting of the Sanitary "committee of the 'City Council, the health department, city officials of-ficials and railroad representatives was held in the offleea of Health Commissioner Com-missioner M.K. Htewart, and it was agreed between' tho Short Line and Kio Grande roads that the spur track to the stockyards shall remain and be used to assist the city in disposing of its garbage. It was agreed that a spur track should be run from the terminus of the stockvards spur to the sewer farm 1200 feet to the north, to be used for the dumping of garbage. It was also agreed to run a track from a place north of Warm springs to the Hhort Line, and that, cars carrying the garbage-should be run over this to the sewer farm at actual expense to the company, which will be $ a car. |
